Kickstarting the day with breakfast, we hit the road from Pokhara to Nayapul, a smooth one-hour drive. Our walking adventure begins in Nayapul, crossing the Modi River and passing through the check post marking the start of the Annapurna Conservation Area Project. The journey is initially quite easy as we stroll by the BhurungdiKhola and enter Hile. Continuing on, we head towards Tikhedhunga, traversing a suspension bridge and reaching the base of a steep hill adorned with numerous stone steps. Yes, the steps might be a bit tough on the knees, but the reward awaits at the top – our cozy tea house. Upon conquering the steps, we reach Ulleri, a charming village perched on the mountainside, revealing our first view of a majestic peak. Ulleri marks our final stop for the day.

Starting our day early, we take a walk through Banthanti. Before the sun paints the sky, we wake up early to trek to Poon Hill, eagerly anticipating the breathtaking views of Dhaulagiri (8167m), Annapurna I Main (8091m), and Himalchuli (7893m) with their grand surroundings. Witnessing the sunrise over Machapuchare is a magical moment, casting a golden glow on Dhaulagiri's south face. Poon Hill is a hotspot for photography, offering clear shots of the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna masses. After capturing the beauty, we return to Ghorepani for breakfast and then head towards Tadapani, passing through Deurali and Benthanti along the way. Tadapani is our destination for the day, promising more scenic wonders.

The path winding through rhododendron forests leading to Tadapani serves as an alternative route to Ghorepani.
